The Dear Rosa Project

Creating safe spaces to share stories saves lives.

The Dear Rosa Project honors the legacy of Rosa, a vibrant and inspiring woman who lived at the intersection of HIV and domestic violence. Known for her infectious laugh and bold spirit, Rosa encouraged countless women to share their stories. After her passing, the personal letters she had been writing to herself were shared with Project Lead Dr. Harte, sparking the vision for this initiative.

Drawing from passages in Rosa's letters which she loved to share and using oral history practices, we facilitate interviews with women from around the world. These conversations invite participants to reflect deeply on their own life experiences.

The feedback we hear most often says it all: "Dear Rosa made me remember who I am."
